Charles a 5 year old blind beagle needs rescue! TN

Precious Charles is five years old and is blind. He is a calm, submissive and gentle dog who walks well on a leash and carefully explores the shelter yard. Charles is housebroken, too. He is a loving dog who enjoys being held and cuddled and petted. Even though he does not see, he gets around fairly well due to his excellent Beagle sense of smell. Charles was found abandoned and never claimed. He is heartworm negative, wormed and current on all vaccinations. He will be neutered and microchipped prior to leaving the shelter. Please save this wonderful dog by crossposting near and far and contacting me at kmenzyk@yahoo.com if you can help Charles. PULL FEE PAID! Adopt Marley a sweet 8 year old beagle, NY NY

Big fan of: Sniffing everything in the world while on a walk—he is a Beagle, after all—and affection from his people. Generally extremely mellow and low-key, Marley is also very into learning new things in exchange for new treats. Not a fan of: The highly active lifestyle. Marley needs daily walks to stay happy—and he definitely looks forward to them—but later, this lazybones wants to chill out and catch up on Dancing with the Stars or The Office with you, then head to bed. Special features: Besides his amazing big, brown Beagle eyes (irresistible!), Marley offers you the trusty companionship of a younger Beagle and the level head and gentleness that only being middle-aged can bring. He also sometimes snores gently while awake. Though Beagles are known for being very vocal, at the Adoption Center Marley has howled only a few times. He’s generally quite a quiet, distinguished fellow. Other reasons he’s special: Marley is hypothyroid and as such needs medication for life. He needs adopters who are comfortable with giving him that little bit of extra care. Dream home: Patient and loving adopters who are ready to slowly build their relationship with Marley—we suspect that Marley, never one to jump into anything headlong, needs a little time to develop a loving bond with people. If you’re interested: Please call our Animal Placement department in New York City at (212) 876-7700, ext. 4900.

Two lovely beagles need new home! Miami, FL

Mr Coffee is 8 years old and we often refer to him as a little gentleman. He adores being close to the family and spends time by the bed or along the sofa and always likes to be within close proximity of the family. He is outstanding with our little girls and allows them to pet him, or climb on him. His disposition is exceptional. We bought Mrs Tea about 16 months later to keep Mr Coffee company. They have really bonded over the years. Mrs Tea will run around and look for Coffee to chase her and she loves affection. We always took them out for walks and to dog parks so they are very comfortable around other dogs and are not aggressive at all. > > Both have all their shots and have always been in good physical health. > They both weigh in the 35-40 lb range. They are 100% purebred beagles with papers. > please contact Kathy if you are intersted in these two lovely beagles at KLCremer@aol.com

Adopt Cally, a senior female beagle at Best Friends in Utah

About Cally - Beagle beauty seeks love! This sweetheart was abandoned with another dog. They were found with their leashes dragging behind them and a note saying that their family could no longer afford to care for them, due to the recession, and they hoped somebody else could. How sad! Cally is an adorable, friendly beagle mix who's a little reserved, but then she really likes petting once she gets to know you. Born in 2001, Cally enjoys going for walks wearing her fashionable pink harness. She's a playful girl who gets along well with other dogs, though she has a tendency to guard her food. She'd do great with a single person, couple or family with kids age 9 and up. Cally is feeling a little overwhelmed by all of the other dogs and activity here at the Sanctuary. She would be so happy! want more info on how to adopt? email adoptions@bestfriends.org or visit the site at www.bestfriends.org
